Si tratta del primo libro di questo genere in Italia e mostra rane, rospi, tritoni, salamandre, testuggini, lucertole e serpenti nei loro ambienti naturali, in scatti ottenuti nel corso di molti anni di ricerche da parte degli autori.

Published by the Italian Photographic Archive, this book comes from a great love for Italian herps, and from the wish of making them known to the public in all their beauty and fascination, and last but not least their need of protection. This is the first strictly photographic book about Italian frogs, toads, newts, salamanders, turtles, lizards and snakes in their natural environments, through shots obtained over many years by the authors. This work has been published with the sponsorship of Rile-Tenore-Olona Local Park (Lombardy) and the patronage of Societas Herpetologica Italica (SHI). The book is in Italian but don’t be afraid, there are much more photographs than texts!
